Mid-Summer Opportunity

July 21, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The lodge is offering two informal opportunities to come together during the summer and both are on the same day, July 21st.

First you can work up an appetite with a visit to Oak Hill Reservation in Littleton,MA to walk along the edge of Tophet Chasm and up to Lookout Rock for a gorgeous view of Boston. This hike has medium steep trails with some rocks and roots, but the trails are wide and open. It is ideally suitable for young hikers accompanied by an adult so bring your children, grandchildren, nephews or nieces.  Google or navigate to Tophet Chasm.. This will land you at the trail-head on Oak Hill Road. We will start at 2:00 and will be back  by 4:00. Bring mosquito spray and wear sturdy outdoor shoes/boots. Please RSVP to Fred Hinchliffe at fred.publicmail@gmail.com or text / phone at 978-201-2379. Please indicate number in party and your cell phone number for last minute contact if needed.

Secondly; I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream.  Whether you hike or not you can drop in anytime in the evening and join Pete and Karen Hanson at Kimball Farm in Westford for dinner and/or ice cream. We will be there from 4:30 to whenever so if your coming after your hike for ice cream you will find us there. If something more is what you want we will be ready for dinner around 5:30 pm if you’d like to come just for that.   During any free time there is plenty to do at Kinball Farm for folks of any age (including kids). There is miniature golf, bumper boats, pony rides, golf range, par three golf course, batting cages, bumper cars, and a zip line ride. The menu is diverse, the food is great and the ice cream is top notch with generous helpings.

Let’s interrupt our lodge’s summer hiatus with a fun and relaxed gathering.

NOTE: You will find Karen and Pete sitting under the main food tent at Kimball Farm.
