SHARE YOUR NORWEGIAN-AMERICAN STORY
In honor of the upcoming Crossings 200 celebration, marking 200 years of Norwegian
emigration to the U.S., Norwegian historian Isabel Sandvik Shepherd is collecting stories
from the Norwegian-American community. Members of Norumbega Lodge #3-506 in Boston
are invited to participate by sharing their personal and family histories, reflecting on their
Norwegian heritage. These interviews will contribute to a broader archive as part of the
Crossings 200 initiative.
Isabel will be visiting Boston from the 2nd to the 9th of November and hopes to be able to
meet with possible participants during that time. To get involved, please contact Isabel
Sandvik Shepherd at isabel@memoar.no or Lodge leadership to arrange a meeting during
her visit. The Board hopes to set up a meeting for the interviews at the Scandinavian
Cultural Center on Thursday, November 7th.
