At the March cultural meeting on Sunday, March 6th, we will hear from Elsa Comiskey about the
knitting tradition in Norway and look at how each county developed its own unique mitten pattern.
Elsa Comiskey was born in Løten, a small village in Norway. After finishing Hamar Katedralskole,
Elsa moved to the U.S. in 1961. She continued her education in the U.S. and received her M.Ed and
worked with international students at Northeastern University. Later on, Elsa worked for a modeling
agency in Boston. Knitting and hiking in the mountains are two of her favorite activities.
We’ll also be electing one additional Convention delegate, as well as filling the positions of
Counselor and 1-year Trustee
