While it is not the way we prefer to grow, we want to warmly welcome 36 of the former Maine Nordmenn members to our lodge. The Maine lodge celebrated 20 years as a lodge a couple of months ago but sadly had to close it’s doors in July. During their 20 year history they were a very active lodge that set the standard for other lodges by having great cultural meetings, book clubs, a carving group, and holding special events for Syttende mai and Julefest. Their book club is still very active. They now become our second satellite lodge which means that they are now official members of Norumbega, but may wish to meet together for a special meeting on their own from time to time.
